Have you ever paid attention to what leads up to your energy surges and dips?
Without paying close attention to how you create or lose energy, you will likely end up surviving, not thriving, and less healthy than you’d like.
It makes me sad when I hear so many people say, “hanging in there” when asked how they are doing. Or hearing so many of my clients tell me how they’ve lost their energy, joy and zest for life, or that they’re struggling just to make it through the day.
That is not how we were designed. We were created to live healthy, productive, fulfilling and joyful lives.
That said, I know how easy it is to lose energy. I personally still lose energy sometimes, and soon feel the effects – fatigue, a drop in my motivation and mood, loss of focus and concentration, less productive.
I then have to assess what behaviors I’ve been neglecting (like meditation and yoga) or what unhealthy behaviors have sneaked up on me (like perfectionism, worry, doubt, or too many dietary splurges [especially on vacations, holidays or when guests visit]).
The good news is that whenever this happens, I now know how to push the reset button before things become chronic and/or get serious. I basically stop the energy draining behaviors and reboot my body, mind and soul by bolstering up my energy boosting behaviors. Before long I am restored to feeling balanced, energetic, focused, and well again.

Einstein’s famous formula shows us that matter and energy are one, which demonstrates that the essence of everything is energy.
But, why is energy so important to your well-being? Because it takes energy to perform every single function in your body and mind — every breath you take, every thought you have, and every bite you take, requires energy. Your body is an electrical system and needs to have the energy to send the correct messages to all your cells and organs so they can function optimally. When you lose energy, you lose health and vitality. At the extreme, when you lose all your energy, you die.
There is now emerging science that can actually measure personal energy; and what scientists have found is that disease (of body, mind, soul) begins at lower energy frequencies.
In a normal, healthy person, their personal energy level is around 62-72 HZ .
What scientists have discovered is that when your energy levels dip below 58 HZ, disease begins to develop – the lower your energy, the more serious the illness that manifests. For example, your body becomes receptive to infections at 52 HZ as lowered energy results in lowered immunity.

Aromatherapy/Essential Oils
How They Work:
Essential oils effects are experienced through inhalation, application to the skin, and ingestion. The pathway into the body is through the nose or skin. When inhaled, they reach the lungs and find their way into the blood stream and every part of the body. When applied to the skin, they penetrate into the bloodstream and are carried throughout the body.
Then, chemical interactions occur between the oils and your body that initiate physical changes. Hormone and enzyme responses to the oil molecules can take place.
Benefits of Using Essential Oils
Our bodies can become sedated, stimulated or relaxed by the action of certain oils. Pain can be relieved, wounds can heal, inflammation and spasms can cease.
Essential oils can perform many functions for our bodies; they support and balance many systems –- circulatory, digestive, respiratory, nervous, endocrine and reproductive. Some oils will affect more than one system within the body.
Common Essential Oils and Their Uses
Peppermint
Uses: Peppermint oil is a cooling agent that enhances mood, sharpens focus, combats irritation and redness, alleviates symptoms of congestion, and aids in digestion.
Caution: Although non-toxic, the menthol component in Peppermint can bother some individuals. It is also a skin irritant and should be kept away from the eyes. Keep away from small children and do not use while pregnant.
Tea Tree Oil
Uses: You can use this essential oil to cure almost all topical infections and diseases. By mixing a few drops with a carrier oil (olive, coconut oil) you can treat toenail fungus, dandruff, boils, warts, insect bites, and head lice.
Also used to fight vaginal infections, clear chest congestion, and as an insect repellent.
Note: Never take tea tree oil internally, which can cause side effects including confusion, hallucinations, drowsiness, unsteadiness, severe rashes, vomiting, diarrhea and general weakness. This essential oil is not suitable for small babies or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Lavender
Lavender essential oil is one of the most calming oils. It has both physiological as well as psychological benefits. Its health benefits can be attributed to its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antidepressant properties.
Uses: You can use this oil to treat anxiety, respiratory problems, minor burns, wounds, insect bites and stings, earaches, acne, hair loss and a number of women’s health issues.
Putting a few drops on your pillow or handkerchief helps combat insomnia, stress, and headaches.
Eucalyptus
Uses: Its medicinal use is mainly due to its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, decongestant, deodorant, disinfectant, antiseptic, antibacterial, analgesic, stimulating and other medicinal qualities.
It even boosts the immune system and relieves muscle aches. You can apply this oil topically to treat wounds, burns, sore muscles, bug bites and boils.
Inhaling its aroma helps treat respiratory tract infections, asthma, bronchitis and sinus pain. You can add a few drops of this oil in a pot or bowl of boiling water and inhale the steam.
This will also help relieve congestion. Plus, it will increases alertness, relieves stress and help you concentrate better. You can also use eucalyptus oil as an insect repellent and bio-pesticide.

Yoga
According to a recent survey, approximately 30 percent of Americans have tried yoga or plan to in the near future. One of the main reasons it is ever increasing in popularity is that it combines relaxation along with an increase in mental clarity and energy.

I grew up hearing that chiropractors were “quacks” and never considered getting a chiropractic adjustment until I had an auto accident in New York City where I lived at the time, in my early 40’s, and my primary care doctor referred me to a chiropractor.
From that day on, I was a believer. Three years later, I moved to Arizona and had to find a new chiropractor and was referred to a Network Chiropractor – a new branch of chiropractic medicine that uses a very different approach– a much gentler and, in my opinion– more effective approach, which also works on balancing and healing your emotions.
